Are Your Partners Data-ble?

Data-ing is hard.

Ask anyone who’s trying to find the perfect partner, and they’ll probably share stories about nightmare scenarios, missed opportunities and swiping left when they should have swiped right. Finding someone who shares your values, supports you in every way and makes you better can be a bit of a unicorn hunt.

It’s the perfect analogy for the predicament many agencies find themselves in when diving into the data dating pool.

The transportation industry has experienced unprecedented advances in the volume of available data and with the rise of connected infrastructure, vehicles, and IoT devices, we've entered an era where our increasingly connected vehicles are the most profound source of actionable information. That’s great, until you consider that the massive data set you’re receiving masks an ugly truth about the partner you’re with - that the data means nothing and may actually be a hollow suit unless it’s refined, spit-polished and ready for public presentation.

Imagine being a traffic engineer with an endless stream of data sets and technologies at your fingertips. Do you have the time and budget to manage multiple data sources? Which data partner is going to best meet your agency’s needs? Procuring technologies from multiple vendors, and paying to use multiple platforms to view disparate data can feel like juggling multiple bad relationships!

At Flow Labs, to fully leverage this new era of "Big Data," we analyze, synthesize and deliver data from multiple sources so you don’t have to. We deliver a clear view of any given roadway at any given time. Simply, we take the risk out of your experience.

Since the very beginning, Flow Labs has taken the approach of building an open, data-agnostic system incorporating data from multiple sources and partners. We believed that this approach would yield a more robust and resilient service for our clients; a belief that has proven true.

There are many data sources that agencies already own and have access to, including traffic management systems, hardware-based detection, and traffic signal controller data. Our third-party data provides different and complementary insights to hardware streams. Then, our platform acts as a central hub, integrating all of the data into a comprehensive view that leverages the strengths of individual data sources into one single geospatial standard.

At Flow Labs, we are data-ble.

We seamlessly connect you with everything you need to unlock the full potential of integrated data and analytics, so you, your agency and the driving public experience the most efficient, safest roads possible.

HOW WE DO IT

Powerful Data Ecosystem

We focus on integrating diverse data types from multiple sources and partners. By integrating TomTom's global connected vehicle probe data into the Flow Labs digital twin platform, we deliver unparalleled traffic insights to agencies and consultants. This collaboration allows us to capture data from 20-35% of vehicles on the road, a significant increase compared to the current industry standard of 3-10%.

Our partnership with Geotab Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) provides detailed insights for freight and commercial vehicles that enhance safety, reduce congestion, and provide economic and environmental benefits. Geotab ITS leverages data from over 4.3 million commercial fleet vehicles, generating over 75 billion data points daily. In North America alone, Geotab’s connected vehicles cover approximately 99.9% of primary roadways.

Including Michelin Mobility Intelligence’s Safer Roads data products, the Flow Labs platform can identify and provide decision support for excessive speeding, near misses, hard acceleration, and braking, and improper phone handling. The data can also help agencies understand if weather or bright sunlight played a role in any captured events.

Stable and Consistent Data Feeds

Flow Labs partners with power players who have a proven track record. Michelin, for example, is part of the global brand of Michelin that has been providing quality products and services for the past 130 years. TomTom's data supply is backed by long-term partnerships with multiple OEMs and other data providers, ensuring customers have a consistent, diverse and robust data supply.

Prevents Disruption

A diversified data supply chain ensures our customers' continued success and resilience. When Wejo abruptly exited the market, our customers' data feeds remained uninterrupted. By capturing data from multiple sources, we provide a stronger data pool and prevent any disruptions.

Eliminates New Hardware

This approach eliminates the need for agencies to buy, install, and maintain new infrastructure, allowing them to leverage existing data to make impactful decisions.

We have the resources, partnerships, skills and technology to continuously integrate data accurately into actionable outcomes, and provide agencies with top-tier decision-making support. The true power of transportation data comes from accessing comprehensive data from a variety of partners and infrastructure. So the question every agency should ask is - are YOUR partners Data-ble? If not, contact our team at sales@flowlabs.ai and let’s see if we are a match!
